Sophia came to us as a tiny pup of 2’ish months old, together with one of her sisters, in November 2014. We fostered these two sweet little girls. Sophia’s sister was adopted and Sophia stayed with us for a while longer. Daddy and Sophia grew so close that mummy could not say no when Sophia insisted on staying with the Tribe by hiding in bed with Lil’Star instead of going to the adoption display cage at the vet clinic – Lil’Star did not help matters by denying wholeheartedly that Sophia was in bed with her! Sophia is a very clever little girl who excels in her obedience classes and Rally Obedience games. She is a bit nervous when away from of her Tribe, especially her big brothers, and we work on her social skills at every opportunity. Sophia is a high-energy Wadi Dog (which is saying something!) and spends a lot of time playing with her Tribe mates. When working on obedience skills she struggles to keep still, looking up at daddy with excitement and uncontrollable wiggling until she completes her task and is given permission to take her treat and a hug. Sophia loves to play with the little members of the Tribe too.
Her ability to make doggy friends quickly and her empathy for their fears and trauma as she draws them into a gentle and playful first game make Sophia the perfect therapy dog when a new orphan joins the Tribe down here at Wadi Wranglers Wranch.
Keep on Wrangling!
